This year we gave away a $1000 scholarship to be used for tuition or fees at a school or camp. Amber in Maryland was our scholarship winner. In Amber's application essay she said, "I have always felt called to work with children, and I now have over six years of childcare experience through camp counseling, coaching, babysitting, preschool teaching, and more. Throughout these experiences, I often felt a pain in my heart knowing I couldn’t always meet every child’s needs without taking time or attention away from another.

This is why I want to pursue pediatric occupational therapy—so I can give each child my undivided attention and work closely with their families to support their growth. Through this career, I hope to give back not only to my own future family and community but also to the many families who need extra support for their children.

Making the right choices leads to better opportunities in the future. Every day, I can choose to go to class or stay in bed, and choosing to show up has shaped my success."

Another thing we are doing this year is this: we are taking supplies to Robin's Nest Children's Home in December. Their property was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa. They sent us a list of what they need and we are going to make it happen.
